2004 – 2016 Tower of Refuge 5p

Description

The Tower of Refuge is built on St Mary’s Isle in Douglas bay. The Isle was presented to Sir William Hillary, in his capacity as President of the Isle of Man District of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to build the Tower of Refuge, by the then Attorney General of the Isle of Man John Quane in 1832.
